I am Milton Brasher-Cunningham. I’m a writer, a chef and cookie baker, a musician, and a minister. I was born in Texas, spent my childhood and adolescence in Africa, and have spent my thirty-six year marriage to Ginger, the love of my life, in New England and North Carolina. I currently live with Ginger, the love of my life, and our two Schnauzer rescues in a house that is the forty-fifth address I have had in my life, which is to say that if someone were to write my biography, the first sentence would be,

“He was just trying to find his way home.”

Whatever page you read or button you press on this site will have something to do with belonging and how we create home for one another. I started my blog, don’t eat alone, in December 2005, so the archives run deep. I have a weekly newsletter, mixing metaphors, as well. Everything you find here is free to read. You will also find the opportunity to support me financially, if you want, and that helps us pay the bills.

Peace, Milton
